I love photographing newborns, love love love it! It does take a LOT of patience to take your time and have everything just right but this little princess made my job sooooo easy! She went right to sleep after she was fed as soon as she arrived and slept for me the entire time, only waking up right at the end when she was ready to eat again. Such an adorable little bundle. I was lucky enough to do mom's maternity pictures a couple of months ago and can't wait to watch her grow! It was nice getting my girly props out since my last two newborns were boys!

Maelyn ~ Aug 2013
This was an impromtu session while the family was in from out of state. I was so glad to get the chane to do this quick session for her. We were lucky to be able to grab a few outdoor shots before it started to rain and then really started to pour (begining to see a pattern in my sessions?) But we wanted to get a few more outdoor shots so they came back a couple days later to finish up the session and luckily that day was totally gorgeous and worth the wait!! She was a little model and I was able to just snap, snap, snap like a breeze!
Oh to be carefree like a child again and be able to just spin around and enjoy the world as it is. Was fun to just watch her be herself and photograph her just being a kid.
She was definitely a pleasure to photograph and hope to get the chance again soon!

Kendall ~ 4 months ~ Aug 2013
This session was dear to me as this couple had tried for several years to have a little one with no luck. Then along came adorable Miss Kendall and boy was she worth the wait! She is a total doll with a gorgeous head full of hair!
Little Kendall was wide awake during her session (at first) For a 4 month old, she sure was active, and very determined! She did not like trying to sit up, she didn't want mommy to stand her on her feet and hold her up and she she got pretty frustrated when we put her on her tummy and she wasn't able to go! She had the most adorable smile though which she showed me several times.
Was so sweet to see her and her daddy interact and she would stare and smile at him.
Towards the end I think we wore her out a bit as she settled into a peaceful sleep long enough for me to get a few sleeping shots.
I so wish we would have been able to get a few more outdoor shots that day but I was thankful to get the couple that we did because it was starting to sprinkle when we took those and soon started to pour (yep, like the last session!)
I can't wait to watch this little princess grow up and look forward to photographing her again!

Brittany ~ Senior session ~ Aug 2013
When I first started photography, before I went out on my own, I use to work for a company that did senior photos. I was doing several seniors every week and many in one day. While I loved it, I hated not being able to spend enough time getting to know a little about each kid and being able to really customize the session to them in the short amount of time we had to get them done. One of the reasons I wanted to go out on my own. To be more personable with my clients, not just moving them in and out.
But even with all that, I loved doing senior photography. These young adults who were moving into their last year of high school. Nervous, excited, ready to take on the world.
After focusing on babies and families for the past few years and a wedding now and then, doing this session made me realize how much I miss doing senior photography. It is just so much fun! Various locations and being able to really show their personality and let them be themselves while making them look totally awesome in the progress.
Giving them something to share with their best friends now and to look back on in 10 or 20 years and show their kids later. I thoroughly enjoyed this session and she made it so easy. Beautiful young lady who totally rocked her session for sure!

S & J ~ Expecting ~ July 2013
I knew on this one we really wanted some outdoor shots but I saw the clouds in the sky before they arrived and was a bit worried. As soon as they got out of the truck, it started to sprinkle and as soon as we walked inside the studio, it started to pour! I was hiding my disappointment and hoping it would stop.
We went ahead and got the indoor shots out of the way and I was so glad that as soon as we finished I looked out and it had cleared up! (Jumping up and down inside!)
A muggy July day wasn't the idea conditions for an 8 month pregnant lady but she was a trooper!
Was so sweet watching them together, seeing the way he looked at her and touched her belly.
They are definitely going to be some proud parents (tomorrow actually, she is getting induced and I can't wait to do her newborn session next week!)
As I was starting to wrap up and do the last of the pictures by the fence, it started so sprinkle again but they were still so awesome and went right along with a few pictures in the rain!
(Not to mention the rain actually felt really good in the heat!)
After all the mugginess and rain, we ended up with a really rocking maternity session!

This one is actually one of my favorites from this year!
I can't take credit for this idea, mom requested it from Pinterest and I thought it was too cute!
Such an incredibly sweet couple whom I look forward to photographing their family for years to come!
B & J ~ Family ~ April 2013
A family with a 3 year old and a 7 month old is not always the easiest to shoot family photos with but these two were a breeze and fun too! We headed to one of my favorite locations to shoot and what a gorgeous spring day it was! Things had just finally started to bloom around here (no thanks to the late cold weather we were getting over) so everything was just beautiful!
I look forward to more shoots with this family as they grow up into beautiful children!
Look at these little cheeks would you! Just adorable!!
I so love watching the interactions between siblings. You can practically see a little conversation going on here!
I look forward to more shoots with this family as they grow up into beautiful children!
Michael Gary - Oct 2012
Ok, so I am a little behind at this blog thing (ok a lot behind)
I use to have one back before I got married and changed my business name so this one is starting over from scratch. I'm only going back about a year because if I went back longer than that I would be sitting here blogging for days and well my kids may get a bit hungry.
This was a maternity session back about 10 months ago. I will post his newborn session as well along with the maternity to save you from having to read so many posts at once.
I was actually getting married exactly a week from this session and the mom so happened to be my maid of honor who was due just a couple weeks after the wedding so we really needed to get this session in. (I also threatened her with bodily harm if she went into labor during my wedding but thats another story lol)
The fall weather was absolutely gorgeous! (My favorite time of year) And I thoroughly enjoyed this session.
Then less than a month later, I got to do this little guy's newborn session too!
He did not want to go to sleep for me though no matter what I tried. He was too afraid he would miss something!
